Refined is an editorial style wedding photography workshop created for experienced photographers who are ready to elevate their work and the experience they deliver. This is a considered, high level learning environment focused on intention, polish, and creating imagery that reflects a more refined approach to weddings.
Held as an all day immersive experience on February 21st, 2026, at the iconic Ambrym Estate, Refined brings together education, artistry, and environment. Expect thoughtful styling, exceptional vendors, guided teaching, and the opportunity to create imagery at a calibre rarely seen locally.
The day will run from 9am to 6pm.

I’m
Chantelle!
I’m a wedding photographer and educator behind Mill and The Sea. With years of experience photographing weddings and mentoring photographers, my approach centres on intention, connection, and refinement. I believe elevated imagery is created long before the shutter is pressed, through communication, awareness, and the ability to guide couples with confidence and ease.
Refined is an extension of the way I work on a wedding day. Calm, intentional, and detail driven. This workshop is designed to share not only how to shoot, but how to think, direct, and deliver an elevated wedding experience from first enquiry through to final gallery.

What can you Expect
Refined is a full day workshop, thoughtfully structured to balance education and hands on creation.
The morning session is an in depth education component led by Chantelle Seaman. Topics include refining your client experience, leads and enquiries, email communication, social media presence, and personal presentation on a wedding day. You will learn how to shoot with intention, read and utilise your environment, control light, direct couples naturally, and refine your final imagery through intentional culling and editing.
The afternoon session transitions into guided shooting and live coaching. You will be supported in posing and connecting a real couple, selecting optimal light and locations, and creating imagery that feels natural, elevated, and emotionally grounded.
This workshop uses a real couple rather than models, allowing for a genuine wedding day dynamic. This provides a realistic environment to practise communication, direction, and connection, building confidence in guiding couples who have no modelling experience.
Lunch is included, with afternoon grazing and drinks provided throughout the day.
Refined is not only an educational experience. It is a rare opportunity to photograph a truly luxurious wedding environment, capture portfolio ready imagery, and build a body of work that reflects a higher calibre of weddings. Images created may be used across websites and social platforms to attract clients who value elevated styling and intentional storytelling.

Who is Refined designed for?
Refined is designed for experienced wedding photographers who already have a solid technical foundation and are looking to elevate their work, refine their visual storytelling, and deliver a more intentional client experience. This workshop is not suited to beginners.
Is this workshop suitable if I don’t shoot luxury weddings yet?
Yes. Refined is created for photographers who aspire to attract higher calibre weddings and want to align their work, experience, and imagery with that level. You do not need to currently photograph luxury weddings to attend.
Will I be able to use the images from the workshop?
Yes. Attendees are welcome to use the images captured during the workshop for their portfolio, website, and social media. When sharing these images, attendees will be requested to acknowledge and tag the participating vendors. This allows each collaborator appropriate visibility and recognition for their contribution to the day and ensures respectful representation of the work created.
Will models be used during the workshop?
No. Refined features a real couple rather than professional models. This allows the workshop to emulate a genuine wedding day environment and provides the opportunity to learn how to communicate, direct, and connect naturally with couples.
What should I bring with me?
You should bring your camera gear, fully charged batteries, memory cards, and either a laptop or notebook, depending on your preferred method of taking notes. Bring anything else that supports focus, comfort, and your ability to engage fully and retain a high level of learning throughout the day. A more detailed preparation guide will be provided closer to the workshop date.
